not to post twice in one day... but...

empire state of mind-trading one city for another.

i spent this past weekend in new york. some friends and i decided to spend valentines weekend together and what better place than the city. i had such a good time. we did nothing tourist-y, so it sort of felt like i lived there (if only for a couple days). the weekend was packed full of walking everywhere (who wants to pay for transportation!), food (and by food, i mean, i was eating like every 3 hours... who can resist pizza and hot dogs and restaurants in soho), vendor shopping, and laughing. needless to say, it was a much needed vacay. i didn't think about papers, presentations, and reading education theory...

oh... and i almost forgot... so, i don't exactly have a valentine (hence the girls weekend) but i feel as though i did get some sort of a present... ok, so i am in a restaurant and as i was walking back to my seat from the ladies room, a dude stops me and was like " i saw you earlier on the street. i think you are really pretty." most people would know what to say or do next, not me. i smiled and said thank you and walked to my seat. at any rate, it was really nice (especially because he was really cute- long homeless hair and all).

i have made a decision to switch back to blogger, although tumblr looks cooler and is a little more current. i found it rather difficult to post anything but pictures or videos- expressing my thoughts is sort of what blogging is all about, right... so, i'm back!

i have been inspired lately reading various blogs. that being said, i am going to try and improve this one....

but, not right now because i have a huge presentation later today and still haven't packed for my trip to new york! coincidentally, tomorrow is the start of fashion week! i so hope to run into rachel zoe and company!

things change. people change.

- nude (colored) shoes

- procrastinating

- not being cold... or rather, when the temperature reaches 30...

- the start of californication and shameless (on showtime)

- hosting dinner parties

- winter pale skin (fake tanning = aged skin, duh)

- bubbles, balloons and confetti

- saying "come on, now"

- boys raised in the south

- trying to understand the bermuda triangle

- not running on a treadmill

- missing my pups, lola and bella....(i, not so secretly look at a picture of them before i go to sleep at night)
