i am taking a class this quarter called transformative learning. so, im reading this book that has super "new age" concepts- humans are called earthlings, cosmology is a theme... its just sort of dense and finding meaning is difficult... from what i can gather (i am not even half way through) the book is a sort of call to see our lives in the consumerist way that has evolved from society. i can dig that. in response to that, (and this should not be shocking), i am super into how we treat the environment now. i came across an (environmental) artist, chris jordan. check him out- things get put into perspective.

this depicts 320,000 light bulbs, equal to the number of kilowatt hours of electricity wasted in the united states every minute from inefficient residential electricity usage (inefficient wiring, computers in sleep mode, etc.).
