im scared about the swine flu.

i started one of my tutoring jobs today. it is a program called america reads. basically, i tutor kids in elementary/middle school who have problems reading. the school i went to this morning was on the south side of chicago-the elementary school had a metal detector (in-sane). i had a really good time. it rules that i make money hanging out with kids!

one of the kids i tutored had a hearing impairment. at first, i had no idea. i thought he was rude and not feel'n it.... then as i was wanted to scream at him his teacher came over to me and told me he couldn't hear me and he reads lips. i was so embarrassed.... but how was i to know. after i realized how i could help him, we had a really good time together. i cant wait to see him next tuesday!

on another note, it is extremely cold here. i do not think i am cut out for this kind of weather. i secretly turned on the heat in my apartment because i couldn't feel my feet.
